Finding the right support for your child can be tough – but I am committed to making it easier. Let’s connect and navigate this journey together.
At the heart of Wholehearted’s philosophy is the belief that children will thrive when their “whole self” is acknowledged and supported. This includes embracing their experiences, strengths and their systems (i.e. family, school, etc.). We provide collaborative and inclusive care for the “whole child”, their families and across their treating providers.
I shun the ‘one-size-fits-all’ methodology and look at the big picture—your family’s dynamics, environment, and your child’s individual strengths, needs, etc.—to craft an appropriate plan. Together, we’ll strive for wholeness.
With almost a decade of experience, I have had the greatest pleasure of working with countless children and families here in St. Louis. During that time, I developed many cherished partnerships with local schools, medical providers and agencies in our area – all with the same goal – to provide the best care to children and their families.
I’ve dedicated myself wholeheartedly to supporting children and families in finding their confidence and developing self-compassion to navigate any tough season – and I’m here to help you discover yours.
My approach blends education + expertise with authenticity + empowerment to create a positive experience for all.
Play is the universal language of the child, serving as a vital means of expression and communication. Therefore, play is not only a fundamental activity for children, but it is also the most effective vehicle through which adults can truly understand and guide children in their development. Play therapy provides children with a safe and nurturing environment to confront their problems, express their emotions, and find creative solutions to the challenges they face.
Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is a highly effective therapeutic approach that can significantly assist children in reframing their thought processes concerning how they identify, interpret, and evaluate their emotional and behavioral reactions when faced with negative experiences. Through engaging in CBT, children can develop enhanced self-control, more effective emotion regulation strategies, improved coping skills, and a deeper awareness of their emotions.
